Highlights: Summer Sunsets, live music, Napa Valley views, food pairings, great staff, great wine, and just an overall great experience.
Miner Family Winery knows how to put on an evening tasting wines with sunsets AND views. This was such a fun event!! Live music, food pairings, wine tasting, and comfy seating. The perfect setting to enjoy with a date or a group of friends!
They are putting on the Sunset Lounge Event the first Friday of every month this summer! (FRIDAYS, AUGUST 3RD, SEPTEMBER 7TH & OCTOBER 5TH 6:00pm) Hopefully, if we create enough of a demand we can get them to add a few more Fridays :)
(AKA--this is me wanting more sunset Fridays!)
Fava Bean, Pecorino, Thyme and Lemon Zest Paté + La Brea Bakery Crostini
Ham Slider, Biscuit, Marmalade + Mustard
Roast Beef, Skyhill Farms Chevre Mousse + Black Mission Figs
OKAY--so if you can't make it to a Friday Sunset event, I still HIGHLY recommend you visit Miner Family for a tasting while you are out in the valley. They are central to a lot of great places in Napa AND the wine you just have to try it!
My two favorite wines offered:
The Oracle - Napa Valley Red: If you like a big bold Napa Red, you will love this. It can sit down for another 10 years or if you like big in your face wine, drink it now! (I'll be drinking it now AND saving one for later). It is still smooth which is what I love about it as well!
2017 Rosato: I loved this rosé! Made using the traditional method of Provence, allowing the Sangiovese to have a short period of skin contact and then gently pressed to achieve the desired color, this dry, medium-bodied rosé shows crisp cherry-pomegranate flavors on the palate. Mendocino’s cooler temperatures mean a longer hang time and outstanding berry concentration. Enjoy well-chilled.
And a very special THANK YOU to Richard Wood for shooting some stunning photos of the property and group while we attended the event!
